Calendula officinalis

Calendula, also known as common Marigold are a welcome ornamental addition to the garden. Besides being nice to look at, it is a very useful plant performing numerous functions.

It’s an excellent insectary plant attracting all kinds of beneficial insects and repelling unwanted pests.

Leaves and petals are edible, great for salads and soups. For generations Marigold has been used as a home remedy for a number skin problems such as bites, stings and wounds.
