It’s always exciting to discover new forms of wildlife in our gardens and we’ve been looking forward to this day. Today the first hegdehog has found our garden. A milestone in our diverse eco system building project!
We did build a hedgehog shelter a few months ago, now coming in handy for our new guest. Hopefully he/she will stay and hibernate in our garden for the winter. They are great animals to have in your garden with many benefits like keeping the slug population in check. We gave him a small bit of dog food, apples and plenty of water to keep him/her going for the time being.
