Pruning shrubs or even trees that are planted in a hedge are best cut back in the first few Winters after planting. This will encourage them to bush out, which strengthens the tree, blocks more wind and provides more privacy. In this video i am briefly showing you how i cut back our willows and how to plant a cutting to grow a new tree.
