Winecap mushrooms, also known as Garden Giant or King Stropharia are the easiest mushroom to grow in your garden. Among other benefits it forms a symbiotic relationship with plants in the garden extending their root system helping them gather more water and minerals in exchange for sugars the plants produce with photosynthesis. This promotes plant health and growth. The byproduct – a perennial culinary delight. Winecap spawn is in season during the warmer months from April to September.

The spawn is best planted in the summer in fresh woodchips. Keep it warm & watered during establishment. Please note you will receive a bag of mixed woodchips and compost inoculated with Winecap mycelium. For more details see video below.
