IBC tanks are great value for storing rain water. When kept in a greenhouse they also store the suns heat during the day and let if off at night, thus heating your greenhouse a little. We fill them using gravity with a hose from another tank catching the water coming off the roof.
An IBC tank can store a substantial amount of water – over 1000 liters, which is a lot better than barrels at 150-200 liters and will keep you going for longer during the dry summer months.
