Shallots are similar to onions but milder. They are often used in french cooking. Shallots multiply in a clump similar to garlic, this makes them technical a perennial. We are growing them in a no dig garden bed and we’re going to do a little experiment by planting some in our forest garden. Harvest is towards the end of the growing season.
