Currant are our favourite berry because it’s so productive and reliable. The berries are versatile – eaten like as is or made used in jams, cakes and even country wines. Cuttings are around 25cm / 10 inches long and pencil thick. They are easy to root either by starting them in a pot or by sticking them into the ground directly.
