Container gardening can be a convenient way to grow greens, herbs, even carrots and strawberries in previously unproductive spaces, for example on a patio, a balcony, right outside your backdoor or even on a window sill. It’s also a great way for beginners to get started and harvest the rewards soon after. I’ll be talking about the growing medium, container size and longevity of a plant in a pot. You can grow perennials such as sage, thyme or other herbs and even berries like strawberries, currants, gooseberries etc. Annuals such as salad greens, carrots and tubers like potatoes and Ocas do really well in containers and give you a plentiful harvest.
