We wanted to let you know about this wonderful new website called Open Food Network. There is a map view that helps you find small and local producers near you. It’s a platform helping to bring producers and consumers together to create a more sustainable and higher quality food supply.
We’ve been part of the Roscommon Produce Network for over a year now and we can only highly recommend it. There are lots of different items on offer, such as fresh vegetables, eggs, sourdough bread, pastries, unpasteurized milk, meat, plants, woodwork products and more. Mostly beyond organic and all with sustainability and reduced use of plastic in mind. Order online and pick up once a week every Thursday at 6pm at the Sunflower garden in Roscommon town. Take a look and help us build up even more variety and diversity in our food supply, just like it used to be.
